Marie Osmond's son texts suicide note before death

The teenage son of an American legend leapt to his death from an 8th floor apartment window in Los Angeles (said via People.com, February 27).

Marie Osmond, mother of 18-year-old Michael Blosil, knew that Blosil had battled depression before and released this statement via her representative press: My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.

According to TMZ and Entertainment Tonight, Osmond's son left a suicidal note in his apartment and texted a female friend to tell her its whereabouts. After being let into Blosil's apartment by roommates and reading the note aloud, largely hinting at a saddened life, the group heard approaching sirens.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department was notified at 9:24 p.m. and told People.com that Blosil fell at least 30 feet.

No information on funeral arrangements is known at this time.
