Grammys 2015: See the (nearly) full list of nominees here!
UPDATE: During CBS's "A Very Grammy Christmas" concert special, the nominees for the Album of the Year award were announced, and they are: "Morning Phase," Beck; "Beyoncé," Beyoncé; "x," Ed Sheeran; "In The Lonely Hour," Sam Smith; and "G I R L," Pharrell Williams. This brings Beyoncé's total 2015 tally to six nominations, Ed Sheeran's to three nominations and Pharrell Williams's to four nominations (Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran were each nominated for an award that was not included in the morning telecast; Pharrell Williams was also nominated for other awards for his work as a producer.)
UPDATE #2: According to an update from Billboard, Beyoncé surpassed Dolly Parton as the most-nominated female in Grammy history last year, as the the outlet "neglected to count her credit as a producer on the 'Dreamgirls' soundtrack. This means she has now passed producer David Foster and is the sixth most-nominated artist overall."
The nominations for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards were announced by Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams early Friday morning on "CBS This Morning," according to Billboard. Sheeran scored a nomination for his album "x" in the Best Pop Vocal category, while Williams racked up three nominations himself - one for his album "G I R L" in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category and two for his single "Happy," in the Best Music Video and Best Pop Solo Performance categories.
Beyoncé also scored several nominations this year, bypassing Dolly Parton and making her the most-nominated woman in the award show's history, according to Billboard and the Huffington Post. Parton and Beyoncé were neck-and-neck last year with 46 nominations each, but after today's announcement, the pop songstress's current tally stands at 51.
See the (almost) full list of nominations here (the final category, Album of the Year, will be revealed tonight during CBS's "A Very Grammy Christmas" concert special):

Lupita Nyong'o shares that she loves her dark skin on 'Sesame Street' (video)
Today, Sesame Street released a video on its YouTube page starring Elmo and Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o. In it, Elmo and Lupita talk about the importance of skin, with Elmo eventually observing that Lupita's skin is a "beautiful brown color." Lupita later in the video replies that "I love my skin," even inspiring a hashtag of the phrase on her Facebook page.
As incredibly moving and eloquent as Lupita always is, this moment definitely hit home for me. As a dark-skinned, African-American woman, I once went through a phase of thinking that I was not beautiful or was less beautiful than my peers because of my complexion, something Lupita also referred to in her speech at Essence's Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon earlier this year. With love and support from family and friends, I overcame this ordeal, but I know that there are still plenty of other girls and women out there that are suffering from this dilemma.
We are all beautiful - black, white, Asian, Hispanic, light-skinned, dark-skinned and every shade in-between - and we all should know that. Society or outside forces should not define what we think is acceptable or beautiful - you, as you are right now, in this moment, are beautiful.
Lupita, for me, embodies this uplifting message and not even a slew of accolades, including an Oscar, could further define that for her; it only complements such beauty and grace.

ATTENTION ALL: PammiePedia is BACK (somewhat)
I literally haven't blogged since the Super Bowl and that's bad. I've missed everything Lupita, the Solange/Jay Z/Beyonce elevator controversy--was it really a controversy?--all that was the preparation for Kimye's wedding and much more.
My last semester at Georgetown kicked into high gear right around that time and it did, indeed, whoop my a**. I am, however, happy to report that I did pass my thesis class and graduated with my Master's in Journalism last month. YYYAAAYYY!!!
I did take a few weeks off post-graduation to celebrate with family and friends and to just let my mind melt, but everything's just about back to normal now. I still have a few things in the works in terms of advancing my career, so I may still be a bit busy, but I hope to return to a normal schedule of blogging within the next few weeks.
I have missed you guys, my loyal fans and readers, who have stuck by me throughout this ordeal, and I have missed blogging so, so much!
I hope to fill you in with everything late and great in the near future.
Thanks for caring!

MUST READ!: A Note from the Author
Hi Guys!
I know I've been missing out on a lot of news lately, including everything Kimye and the rest of Drake's skits and performances from his recent "SNL" stint, but, as you all know, I'm knee-deep in my studies right now. I will update as much as I can when I can, so please bear with me. I love you all and I thank you for sticking around. PammiePedia wouldn't be what it was without you. :)
