Beyoncé to join celebrity-filled "Hope for Haiti" telethon

Ten-time 2010 Grammy nominee Beyoncé Knowles has joined the long list of celebrities partaking in the multi-network "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon. The event will be held on Friday, January 22, at 8 p.m. and will air on MTV, BET, VH1, ABC, NBC, CW, Fox, CNN, Comedy Central, Oxygen, National Geographic, E!, Bravo, HBO, TNT, Showtime and other related networks.** The telethon will be hosted by George Clooney and will air commercial free.

Performances throughout the telethon include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Bruce Springsteen, Shakira, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews, Coldplay, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Bono, Edge, and Wyclef Jean.***

All proceeds will go to Haiti relief organizations, including the American Red Cross and Wyclef Jean's Yéle Haiti Foundation.

According to, "All performances will be available for purchase for $.99 per song through the iTunes beginning Saturday, Jan. 23, with all proceeds benefiting Haiti relief funds managed by "Hope for Haiti Now" charities."***
