Chris Brown speaks to Larry King

On August 26, Chris Brown's first public interview since his altercation with Rihanna (February), was recorded in Los Angeles on Larry King Live.

It is reported that Brown's mother, Joyce Hawkins, became emotional during the interview and, at points, shed a few tears. Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, was also present during the interview.

The entire show will air on Wednesday, September 2. Chris Brown received 6 months of community service and 5 years probation on Tuesday, August 25, 3 weeks after the original sentencing was to take place. The state of Virginia, where Brown will be stationed, had failed to contact the LA court house on whether Brown's sentence could be carried out. Judge Patricia Schnegg originally postponed the court date to August 27, but for unknown reasons, the sentencing was moved to August 25.

Brown is reported to commence his duties within the next few weeks.
