SIDE NOTE: Gaga is just amazing. In the video, she speaks about the birthing a new race without prejudice and its battle against evil. This message, along a bit a humor and sex appeal, makes Born This Way irresistible to watch.
After training for a year, cracking a rib and losing tons of weight for the role, Natalie Portman's portrayal of a tormented ballerina pursuing perfection in Black Swan undoubtedly deserved an Oscar, and the Academy agreed.
The 83rd annual Academy Awards just wrapped at The Kodak Theater in Los Angeles with hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco. Amongst the night's big winners were The Social Network (3), Inception (4) and The King's Speech, which took home awards for Best Original Screenplay, Best Director (Tom Hooper), Best Actor in a Leading Role (Colin Firth) and Best Picture.
A complete list of tonight's winners is as follows:
SIDE NOTE: Due to this damn-near-fatal cold I've been battling all week, I haven't been online as much as I should, but this definitely caught my eye.
Ciara sat down with Joan Rivers on E!'s Fashion Police (as seen above) and said that a recent run-in she had with Rihanna "wasn't the nicest." Rihanna then responded via Twitter and the following tweets ensued between the singers:
Lady Gaga's Little Monsters only have to suffer a week longer. Perez Hilton reports that the video for the fastest-selling single in iTunes history will premiere on Monday, February 28, at 11 a.m. Eastern/8 a.m. Pacific. Though Perez does not announce where the video will premiere, he acknowledges that it is being directed by Nick Knight, Laurieann Gibson and the Mother Monster, herself.
Chris Brown's anxiously-anticipated fourth studio album, F.A.M.E, is weeks away from debut (March 22) and its tracklist has just been released. Guest stars include Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne on Look At Me Now, Justin Bieber on Next 2 You, and Ludacris on Wet the Bed.
The deluxe edition features four extra songs, featuring Wiz Khalifa,
The Game and Big Sean & Timbaland.
Yet another star has fallen victim to the I'm-only-sexting-to-you-This-could-never-hit-the-web storyline. Though MTO (the source) does not reveal who Keyshia was sexting to, they certainly have the photos as proof.
Note: Keyshia's face is not shown in the photos, they are certainly NSFW!
Lady Gaga's Born This Way has been named Billboard's 1,000th No. 1 single since its Hot 100 chart was established 52 years ago. The single reached a radio audience of 78.5 million and scored a record-breaking 448,000+ digital downloads in its first week.
SIDE NOTE: Since absolutely all footage of Lady Gaga's performance at the Grammys has been removed from the blogosphere (sorry, guys), I present you with photos I was fortunate to find via Daily Mail UK.
SIDE NOTE: Emmy Rossum is my hero, yet I'm used to seeing her in classical pieces (**clears throat: The Phantom Of The Opera**), but it's nice to see her in "other" roles. It's no wonder her new show seems to be getting quite the audience.
See Emmy's risqué performance in Shameless (Showtime) after the jump!
SIDE NOTE: My favorite part of the interview is when Gaga puts the "diamond" in her coffee and drinks it. She swallows the whole cup and the diamond and causes Anderson Cooper to fumble as she pulls the diamond out of her mouth.
The 53rd annual Grammy Awards went underway at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Sunday. The night's biggest recipients were Lady Antebellum for their hit song/album on drunken heartbreak, Need You Now, followed by Jay-Z, John Legend, Eminem and Lady Gaga.
Talk about a comeback king, no? Chris gave his first live performance in support of his new album F.A.M.E. last night on SNL. His performance of Yeah 3x was an autotuned-assisted, amazing dance routine, while his rendition of No Bullsh*t from his Fan Of A Fan mixtape oozed with sexiness.
