In addition to Beyoncé's upcoming album, her stans have something new to celebrate this morning. Billboard reports that the 16-time Grammy winner will receive the Millenium Award at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. The accolade is to recognize Beyoncé's "career achievements and influence in the music industry."
Rumors had quickly swirled around the blogosphere that the star would receive an "all-star singing tribute" at the event, but celebrity blog Neon Limelight has denied this rumor.
The Billboard Music Awards air May 22 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
