Beyoncé covers 'Billboard Magazine,' reveals new album title (photo)

After being named the recipient of the Millennium Award at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, it is only right that Billboard has asked Beyoncé to grace the cover of its latest issue. Amongst discussing topics such as her illustrious music career and long-awaited return to the charts, the diva has revealed the title of her latest album in the interview with Billboard, 4.

Appropriately named, 4 is Beyoncé's fourth studio album as a solo artist and she has racked up 16 Grammy Awards in the process. With a new look (notice the cover above) and new sound, Beyoncé hopes to continue to "run the world" with her music. She had this to say in terms of defining the new sound of 4: "[I found] a lot of inspiration in ’90s R&B, Earth, Wind & Fire, DeBarge, Lionel Richie, Teena Marie.… I listened to a lot of Jackson 5 and New Edition, but also Adele, Florence + the Machine, and Prince…. I also gave myself more freedom to really belt out some songs, and bring soul singing back: I used a lot of the brassiness and grittiness in my voice that people hear in my live performances, but not necessarily on my records."

4 is scheduled for release sometime this summer.
