Rihanna's 'S&M' video is banned...to an extent

Rihanna's new video for S&M has proved too steamy for some audiences. The video has officially been banned in 11 countries and is considering a re-edit for daytime viewing on MTV. YouTube asks viewers if they are 18 or older before being allowed to view the video.

In S&M, Rihanna "stimulates" gagged reporters, sexually digests a banana and walks celebrity blogger Perez Hilton around on a leash, amongst other things. This is Rihanna's first "suggestive" video since debuting on the pop scene in 2005.

SIDE NOTE: I thought the video was very well done--it really got the idea across that press/outsiders can be your biggest haters, while still connecting to the theme of the song. And I've seen worse. I'm mean, have you seen any of Madonna's videos back in her Erotica era?

Nonetheless, viewers can click HERE to see the video and decide whether S&M deserves such treatment.
