Billboard Hot 100: Katy Perry soars, Beyoncé disappoints

After being knocked out of the top spot by best friend Rihanna, Katy Perry has reclaimed her position on the Billboard Hot 100 with her smash hit "E.T." featuring Kanye West.

The track, which has already spent three weeks at No. 1, amassed 344,000 digital units sold this week alone. A recent performance by Katy and Kanye on American Idol had encouraged the jump in digital sales.

"E.T." is Katy's fourth single from Teenage Dream to hit No.1, following "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream" and "Firework." It is only the ninth album to produce four No. 1 singles in the chart's history.

Beyoncé's anxiously-anticipated new single, "Run The World (Girls)" debuted at No. 33 this week. The video for the single, which was filmed in Los Angeles, will be released sometime in May.

Her fourth album, which has yet to be titled, debuts in June.
