Lee Thompson Young, star of TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles" and former star of Disney Channel's "The Famous Jett Jackson," has died, according to TMZ and The Huffington Post.
According to The Huffington Post, the 29-year-old was found dead by his landlord in North Hollywood after his coworkers from "Rizzoli & Isles" called the landlord when Young did not show up for work.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told TheWrap that officers arrived at Young's house after 8 a.m. and found him dead on the premises.
In a statement by Young's manager Jonathan Baruch to E! News, it was revealed that Young died by committing suicide.
"It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning," Baruch said. "Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends at this very difficult time."
An official cause of death has yet to be revealed.
