Katy Perry's sophomore album, Teenage Dream, sold a whopping 194,000 copies in its first week, debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. album charts. The songbird's tremendous effort via the singles California Gurls, Teenage Dream and Not Like The Movies, forced its anxious competitor, Fantasia's Back To Me, to fall to the No. 2 spot, selling 122,000 copies in its first week.
Both competitors, nonetheless, were able to knock Eminem's long reign at No. 1 to No. 3, with Recovery ranking in 99,000 copies in its tenth week of sales. The album spent seven of its ten weeks at the No. 1 spot.
