Jay-Z plans to release new album, 'Magna Carta Holy Grail,' on July 4 to 1 million Samsung Galaxy users (video)

SIDE NOTE: I know that I'm late. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Let's move on.  :)

With all of the buzz around Kanye West's new album "Yeezus," no one was expecting Jay-Z to drop new material, let alone an album.

In a commercial that aired during the NBA finals game on June 16, Jay-Z revealed that he is releasing a new album called "Magna Carta Holy Grail" on July 4. Of the album, he said, "[It's about] this duality of how do you navigate through this whole thing…through success, through failures, through all this and remain yourself."

"We don’t have any rules. Everyone’s trying to figure it out. That’s why the Internet is like the wild west...the wild, wild west. We need to write the new rules,” he continued. “The idea is to really finish the album then drop it. ...Giving it to the world at one time and letting them share it and it goes out."

The clip also features appearances by Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams and Swizz Beatz and is a collaboration with Samsung.

"Magna Carta Holy Grail" will be available for free to the first 1 million Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4 ad Galaxy Note II users who download the customized Magna Carter app on June 24, according to the official website. Galaxy users will have access to the album on July 4, 72 hours before its sale release.
