'Bachelor' star Gia Allemand dead at 29
"Bachelor" star and model Gia Allemand died Wednesday, according to E! News and The Huffington Post.
According to a statement by her rep, she was taken to University Hospital on Monday night and was said to be in critical condition following an "emergency medical event."
It was later revealed that the 29-year-old was placed on life support and that her mother and boyfriend, NBA New Orleans Pelicans player Ryan Anderson, were by her side.
The PR company that represented Allemand, Penelope Jean Media, later revealed in a statement that Allemand attempted suicide and was discovered by her boyfriend's side. He called 911 and she was immediately taken to the hospital. Allemand remained unconscious and in critical condition on life support, but "due to a critical loss of brain and organ function, life support was withdrawn today," said Penelope Jean Media in the statement.
Her mother and boyfriend were at her side at the time of her death.

Lady Gaga poses nude for 'V Magazine' (NSFW photos)
"V Magazine" revealed a sneak peak of one of the photos from their four upcoming cover stories on Lady Gaga yesterday (Aug. 12). Today, the magazine revealed a few more photos, including one of the covers. Each of the photos shows Gaga revealing a bit more skin than she usually does, something that is sure to get people talking in the wake of her return to the spotlight.
"Applause," the first single from her new album, "ARTPOP," debuted last night on iTunes at midnight EST/9 p.m. PST and currently sits at No. 2 on the singles chart. "ARTPOP" debuts on iTunes on Nov. 11.

'V Magazine' reveals photo from Lady Gaga, 'ARTPOP' stories (NSFW)
In promotion of Lady Gaga's new album, "ARTPOP," "V Magazine" is releasing four upcoming cover stories on the star. After Lady Gaga announced that "Applause," the first single from "ARTPOP," would debut a week early on Monday, Aug. 12, "V Magazine" released an image from one of the cover stories (above), shot by famed photographers Inez and Vinoodh. The photographers also released the image on their blog.
"Applause" will be available for purchase at midnight EST/ 9 p.m. PST on iTunes.
