MUST SEE!: 'SpongeBob' to be featured in first stop-motion Christmas special (video)

In the likes of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Santa Clause is Coming to Town," SpongeBob and the rest of the SpongeBob SquarePants gang will be featured in a 30-minute stop-motion special titled "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" to air later this year on Nickelodeon. Actor John Goodman will voice the character of Santa Clause.

In the episode, Plankton, in an attempt to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, has turned Bikini Bottom "bad" by feeding its citizens fruitcake with a "jerktonium" ingredient. It is up to SpongeBob, of course, to save the citizens and Christmas itself.

"It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" has yet to receive a release date.
