Oprah Winfrey announced an end to her 25 years as talk show queen on November 20th's episode. She said that the 25th season would be her last and that the show will end in September 2011.
The talk show host held back tears as she said, "This show has been my life and I love it enough to know when it’s time to say goodbye.”**
She admitted that the decision to end "The Oprah Winfrey Show" took "much prayer and careful thought" and that her multi-billion dollar empire will continue on different ventures.
According to The Toronto Sun, Winfrey will start a new talk show on her own network, OWN (The Oprah Winfey Network), a collaboration with Discovery Communications Inc., which will air in January 2011. It is said that OWN will replace the Discovery Health Channel.
